23rd Annual EAU Congress

Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail
As befit a festive EAU Opening Ceremony the highlights of the first day will feature special award presentations such as the EAU’s most prestigious award, the Willy Gregoir Medal. With the presence of invited guest speakers, share in the excitement of honouring some of Europe's most admired urology experts. To mark the start of our annual gathering, the opening ceremony provides not only a good chance to meet up with old friends but also sets the right tone for another dynamic conference. The event will be held at the Milano Convention Centre (MIC).

Great music will be a main feature in the opening day as we present a special performance by the orchestra I Cameristi del Teatro alla Scala, composed of musicians from the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala and the  Filarmonica della Scala. The orchestra has been playing since 1982 in some of the world’s most renowned theatres often in collaboration with directors and soloists such as  Roberto Abbado, Uto Ughi and Salvatore Accardo. Soprano, baritone and tenor singers will also grace this musical show that will highlight well-loved Italian arias.

EAU Evening
La Dolce Vita: a enchanting trip to Italy's celebrated attractions.

Italian charm and glamour will mark the well-attended EAU Evening to be held at the East End Studios, considered by many as Italy’s largest social venue. On the same halls were airplanes where once constructed, a masterful architectural renovation has transformed the East End Studios as a top venue for gatherings including avant-garde events. The EAU Evening’s leit motif will be Italy’s renowned towns, music, food and monuments, celebrating  Italy’s distinctive way of living, La Dolce Vita.

Beyond sight and taste, all five senses will track a sensory trip for a fun-filled night. Instead of the usual buffet presentation, the East End Studios halls will be feted up to show a ‘miniature Italy’ and ornamented as 'islands' to capture the charm of Italian cities and towns made famous either for their gastronomy, history or art. Venice, Naples, Bologna, Parma, Florence, Rome, Milan-  a visual parade of cities that continue to enchant and fascinate. Wander and experienced these  "island-towns," whilst soaking up the delightful atmosphere to recall familiar scents, tastes, iconic objects, reliving bygone times and Italian impressions most-loved by its aficionados.

Come and join us for a journey through Italy and discover the rich culinary history of 'La Cucina Italiana' with the pleasures of music, wines and much more!
