Aims and objectives:
Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP) with the GreenLight laser system has become a well established minimal invasive procedure to treat LUTS caused by benign prostatic obstruction (BPO). In follow up of the introduction of the GreenLight 120 Watt laser (HPS) at last years EAU congress, the need for further surgical standardisation with this system became evident. During this symposium members of an international group of GreenLight experts will share with the audience their recommendations on training, surgical technique and tips and tricks. The main purpose of these recommendations is to support future and existing GreenLight users all over the world in achieving the best possible outcomes for their patients. The faculty will also present for the first time multi-center data on efficacy and safety outcomes generated with use of the HPS laser. These data will support the concept of the HPS laser system in achieving high quality outcomes. The final presentation will cover the clinical efficacy and safety outcomes of PVP in specific patient populations, including patients with large prostate glands and patients on anti-coagulative therapy.
