Urosource continues to bridge gap between science and practice

Are you familiar with the homepage of the European Association of Urology, www.uroweb.org? A new website, www.urosource.com was developed to provide you with the latest information in the field of urology. Key articles, conference reports, latest developments, it is all there for your convenience.

For example, you will find the prostate risk indicator on the site; a free, interactive tool for patients and urologists. With the risk indicator, you can determine your chance of finding prostate cancer if you decide to undergo a diagnostic work-up. There are much more interactive features to be found that should challenge doctors to visit the website and exchange information. The aim is to support urologists in their work as medical specialists to provide the best care possible for their patients.

The site appears greatly appreciated by its visitors in view of the Google rating: 5 out of 10, which is excellent. No wonder, since Urosource is the only site to post the latest scientific publications. Professor Frans Debruyne, eminent Professor in urology and founder of the EAU, has agreed to select articles on a weekly basis. They are summarized without being evaluated or interpreted, so that under ‘Key articles’ the readers have access to an enormous number of unbiased up-to-date scientific articles.

In view of the abundant offer of urological meetings we have compiled the ‘Urological calendar’ with the most important events. As it is impossible to attend all events, Urosource provides a ‘Congress reports/interviews’ section; so you will not miss out on any important developments.

Especially for you as media representative, the ‘Latest developments’ section is interesting and filled with the most recent news articles, press releases etc on (urological) health items.

And above all, you are free to consult the EAU Guidelines on the site. They provide access to the best contemporary consensus view on the most appropriate management currently available. The EAU Guidelines are published under endorsement of the EAU Guidelines Office, with the ultimate aim to support urologists with their day-to-day practice.

Urosource, your ultimate data source, the website for efficient retrieval and distribution of specialised medical information, has been ‘live’ for almost a year now. In order to make the site even more attractive, a new layout is underway. The relaunch is scheduled to take place at the 23rd annual EAU congress, to be held from 26-29 March in Milan, Italy.
